FDNY, Spider-Man, And Captain America Team Up In Fire Prevention Comic Book

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Some of Earth's mightiest super-heroes have teamed up with New York's Bravest to battle a common foe.

Marvel Comics partnered with the FDNY to release a comic book focused on fire safety tips.

Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano was joined by Spider-Man and Captain America to debut the comic book.

"Making the fire safety message entertaining is a great way to bring it to an even larger audience," Cassasno said.

The plan is to distribute the comics for free, while supplies last, at various FDNY Fire Safety Education events. Copies are also available at the FDNY Fire Zone in Rockefeller Center.

Like many comic books, it features a cliffhanger ending. To find out how the story ends, readers are directed to the FDNY Foundation website.
