Cops: Serial Video Voyeur Busted Inside White Plains Mall Bathroom

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Westchester County say they've busted a peeping Tom of sorts.

A White Plains man was arrested for video taping women using the restroom at the popular Galleria Mall. And police said he admitted to doing it many times before, reports CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez.

He's a sick pervert, according to police. Investigators said Milton Sisalima used his phone to secretly record video of women inside a ladies bathroom at the mall.

"I'm really grossed out. That's really messed up. I didn't know that still happened," one shopper said.

"I think it's disgusting. First of all I want to know how did he get in the women's bathroom?" another person asked.

Police said security officers monitoring surveillance cameras saw Sisalima sneaking into a women's restroom near the Macy's department store. Security responded to the restroom and found the 24-year-old White Plains man locked inside one of the stalls.

Police said the suspect had been using his phone to videotape women from under the stall dividers. His phone contained images of women who had used that bathroom.

"That's horrible! That's disgusting!" said Leighann Strollo of New Rochelle.

Sisalima was arrested and prosecutors said the suspect confessed to pulling the same sick stunt numerous times at the Galleria Mall and at a nearby Walmart.

In court papers, Sisalima said, "I really thought I was going to get away with it because I've done it several times in the same bathroom and have even done it about six times in the women's bathroom at Walmart and never got caught."

"I want to be with my mom all the time. That's kind of scary," said Yvonne Gonzalez of New Rochelle.

"I hope he gets a substantial sentence for what he's doing," another person added.

Sisalima will be in Westchester County court on July 13. He faces multiple counts of unlawful surveillance and could face up to four years in prison.

Sisalima also told police that he began watching women in restrooms when he was 13 living in Ecuador.
