"Over the past five years, we've sent over, I think we're getting close to 200,000 boxes of cookies. So, this will be another shipment towards that," said executive director Donna Saravello on Tuesday.

Saravello said both the soldiers and girls are appreciative of Operation Cookie: "The [troop] leader wrote me a note. It said that the girls learned more that day, not about cookies and not about selling, but about giving and that it was such a good lesson."

DHL is helping to deliver the cookies.

Girl Scouts Isabella, Jordan, and Antoinette, said they are feeling pretty proud. Isabella says it's "because it's to help the soldiers and they fight for our country." "I feel really proud that I'm able to participate in this and help out other people and give back."

Scout Antoinette added, "Yeah, it feels good to know that they know someone is thinking of them."
