Man, Woman Stomp 61-Year-Old Man To Death In Bronx, Police Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police made two arrests early Saturday morning for the fatal attack of a 61-year-old man in the Bronx.

At 1:28 a.m., police responded to a call of a man assaulted in front of 480 E. 138th St. near the Port Morris section of the Bronx where police found Quentin Guerrero unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to the head.

Shortly after, police found and arrested 35-year-old Kendall Major and 20-year-old Tosheba Alford, both of Queens. The two were charged with murder.

EMS responded and transported the victim to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A passing cabbie who saw the attack gave a description of the suspects to the cops, who then arrested Alford and Major.

Residents at the building said Guerrero was well liked.

"He was a very good guy," Pedro Bettincort said. "I don't know what he was doing at 1:30 in the morning though. He died right here. I went in for help, but I couldn't do anything."

Other residents added that they often life in fear of nearby gangs.
