NEW YORK (CBS 2) — It was a warm and wonderful afternoon in Manhattan to celebrate Easter, and that meant it was a perfect day to stroll down Fifth Avenue in your Easter bonnet for the annual Easter parade, CBS 2’s Magee Hickey reports.

“When I saw the Grammy Awards, when she came out of the Easter egg, right away I said ‘Easter bonnet’,” she said.
Barry Brown’s the leader of his troupe of fairy tale hatmakers. There’s Goldilocks and the three bears, Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel, and three very little pigs with a big bad wolf on top.
Asked how long it took him to make his Little Mermaid hat, “I don’t know. The last few weeks. Can’t put it together all at once with all that glitter,” he said.

Beau’s owner Caroline Loevner explained how she kept the pooch in line.
“We work with a trainer. Beau does model shoots. He’s accustomed to being around people,” she said.
And there was a dragon-fly bird hat celebrating something we’ve all been waiting for.

The Easter parade got underway on Fifth Avenue around 10 a.m. and wrapped up by 4 p.m.
