Bon Jovi Foundation To Turn Auto Repair Shop Into Restaurant

RED BANK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Rocker Jon Bon Jovi's foundation has received approval to convert an auto repair shop into a restaurant that would serve people whether they can pay or not.

Red Bank's planning board on Monday signed off on the plan, which is based on concepts used in Denver and Salt Lake City.

Attorney Phillip San Filippo told the Asbury Park Press the community restaurant, which is based on concepts used in Denver and Salt Lake City, could be open on July 4th.

The menu will feature nutritious items and no prices.

Those who can afford to pay will. Those who can't can volunteer in the kitchen or help other charities. Diners can also donate money to pay for the meals of others.
