Obama To Jets' Darrelle Revis: 'How's The Island?'

NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) -- Jets All-Pro Darrelle Revis was invited to attend a private dinner with President Barack Obama on Wednesday night.

Revis' agent, Neil Schwartz, said the star cornerback spoke privately with Obama for about five minutes and was shocked to find out the President knows about Revis Island.

"The president said to me, 'How is the island?' I laughed and said, 'It's good and I'm keeping it covered,"' Revis said in a statement given to his agent.

"Deep down, I can't believe it that the president of the United States would know about Revis Island. It was an incredible experience."

Revis added it was a "privilege and an honor" to meet Obama.

The dinner was at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in midtown Manhattan.
