Baby Zebra Makes Debut At Bronx Zoo

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Bronx Zoo is seeing stripes.

Terri, the first zebra born at the zoo since 2003, has made her grand debut. She was born earlier this year and spends most of her time running around the African Plains exhibit but never strays too far from her parents, Tara and Jimbo.

Terri was born with brown stripes but they will gradually turn black as she gets older.

The Grevy's zebras are critically endangered in the wild and can be found in Northern Kenya.

You can visit Terri or Mia, the disappearing cobra who stole headlines around the world, at the Bronx Zoo any day between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
