Giants' Manning Hosts Workout On Hoboken High School Field

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Mark Sanchez is hosting teammates in California for "Jets West" camp. Eli Manning wanted to keep his workouts closer to the Giants' football home.

A handful of Big Blue's best made it to Manning's initiative on Tuesday, hosted on a high school field in Hoboken. Kevin Boss, on the mend from offseason hip surgery, was among the attendees -- and was thrilled to be around his gridiron pals amid the NFL's ongoing lockout.

"It was great just to see everyone," Boss said, according to the New York Daily News. "I don't remember the last time we had gone this long without seeing our teammates. So it was nice just to kind of catch up with the guys and fun just to get back on the field and get back to work."

Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, Ramses Barden, Samuel Giguere, D.J. Ware, Duke Calhoun, Michael Clayton and Sage Rosenfels were also on hand. Eli's camp will stay open for five more days -- two this week and three next week. More Giants are expected to show as the workouts go on.

"About to go (play) catch with my favorite quarterback. Hopefully he feels the same way about me," Barden tweeted.

"Just to kind of get out there and hear the terminology again and work on the timing with Eli, it's definitely something that's going to help down the road," said Boss. "If you go too long without hearing plays called, you'll forget things. So it's nice to get back out there and hear everything again."

Hey, there's football in New Jersey... sort of. What do you think about it?
