Westchester County Board Members Upset With County Chief Of Staff After Email Snafu

WHITE PLAINS, NY (WCBS 880) -- An email snafu has the Westchester County Executive's Office red in the face.

Some county board members are calling on county executive Rob Astorino to fire his chief of staff George Oros.

They say Oros accidentally sent an email meant for another reader to legislator Judy Myers. In the email, Oros makes fun of Myers, writing "Sounds so breathless" and then an exaggerated, "Oh Yes."

County board chairman Ken Jenkins says Oros, who also makes fun of legislator Bill Burton in the email, was beyond disrespectful.

"If he worked for me on the board of legislators, he would be fired," said Jenkins. "It's just that simple."

Meanwhile the county executive's office says Oros will not be fired and he has already apologized.
