Manhattan Robbery Suspect Wanted In Additional Heists

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Manhattan are asking for the public's assistance to help find a suspect wanted in three commercial robberies and six other attempted ones.

The suspect is accused of robbing a Chase Bank at 810 7th Avenue on Monday around 2 p.m. Police said the man entered the bank, passed a demand note and fled with cash. He also managed to rob a coffee shop on Sunday.

Authorities said the suspect enters each business while covering his face with one hand and placing the other hand under his shirt to simulate a gun. The man approaches an employee at the counter and demands cash from the register before fleeing the scene.

The robberies date back to April 28, when he tried to rob the Duane Reade, located at 873 Broadway, police said.

Authorities released new surveillance photos of the suspect on Monday following his new string of alleged attempts and heists.
