CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Authorities say a Cherry Hill man was fatally stabbed when an argument broke out over a drinking game at a house party early Monday morning.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office says the fight broke out around 2 a.m. Monday over a game of beer pong.

William Walker Jr., a 21-year-old Cherry Hill firefighter, was stabbed and later pronounced dead at Cooper University Hospital.

Nineteen-year-old Naqeebullah Habibi was charged with murder. He is being held in Camden County Jail on bail of $750,000.

Apparently the two men argued during the party, but appeared to settle their difference. As they were leaving, though, the confrontation heated up and a fight broke out. Once outside, Habibi allegedly stabbed Walker in the chest.

The stabbing was reported by the Courier-Post of Cherry Hill and The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Whether or not the victim was a professional firefighter, he died and will never get the chance. 21 is too young.

Listen “doc” let me see you run in to fire, let me see you take people out from crashes, let me see you run in the middle of night because there is an apartment fire. Drinking is one thing but to STAB someone is outrageous! crawl back under your rock.

with all due respect, why show a photo of fireman above the story? If the victim was an accountant’s assistant for Cherry Hill, I’m fairly sure the editor wouldn’t have chosen a pic of other state bean counters at their desks with calculators and computers.

Just another case of a drunk dieing due to stupidity. Nothing further.
