Maid At Center Of DSK Case Traumatized, Says Lawyer

NEW YORK (WCBS 880/AP) -- The lawyer of the hotel maid at the center of Dominique Strauss-Kahn's sex assault charges, says she is anxious to face her alleged attacker in court.

The 32-year-old hotel maid has yet to return to work. Her attorney Kenneth Thompson, says she's been devastated and traumatized and she is anxious to face her alleged attacker again.

"She is going to come into this courthouse, get on that witness stand and tell the world what Dominique Strauss did to her," said Thompson.

While Strauss-Kahn's lawyer suggests any sex was consensual , Thompson calls that nothing more than a smear campaign.

Strauss-Kahn pleaded not guilty Monday in a strong voice, standing between his defense team Ben Brafman and William W. Taylor, as his wife, journalist Anne Sinclair, watched. He already had said he's innocent.
