Mayor Bloomberg: 'I've Never Taken A Picture Of Myself'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- In light of the Twitter sexting scandal surrounding Rep. Anthony Weiner, Mayor Michael Bloomberg was asked Thursday whether he has ever taken a picture of himself.

Hizzonor's answer?

"I've never taken a picture of myself. But I think, look, this country has a lot of problems. Time to get back to work and focus on what's really important to the country," Bloomberg said.

Bloomberg made the comments from Jefferson Park in East Harlem, where he and the CEO of AT&T unveiled a new Wi-Fi initiative at 20 New York City parks.

As for Weiner, his public image took another hit Wednesday after an X-rated photo said to be of the congressman's genitals was posted online.

The photo made its way to the website Gawker after conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart showed it to the hosts of the "Opie and Anthony Show," who tweeted the photo.

At least six Democrats in the House of Representatives have called for Weiner to step down. On Thursday, Weiner once again reiterated his decision to hold on to his seat.
