Police Looking For Suspect Wanted For Stealing From Mosque Donation Box
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Manhattan are trying to find a man who they say has been dipping into the donations at a house of prayer.
Surveillance video captured the suspect during the first of two robberies at the Islamic Cultural Center on the Upper East Side.
On June 8, police say he went into the mosque during morning prayers and hid in a maintenance closet until the building was empty then stole money from the donation box.
Police say he robbed the mosque again on Thursday.
