“Here’s a picture of my sister who that coward took,” he said. “That family took away my best friend.”

David Laffer and his wife, Melinda Brady, were arrested Wednesday in connection to the execution-style murders of four people at the Haven Pharmacy in Medford.

Four people were killed including 17-year-old Jennifer Mejia, 45-year-old pharmacist Raymond Ferguson, 33-year-old Jamie Taccetta and 71-year-old Bryon Sheffield.

Laffer faces first-degree murder charges, while Brady faces charges of robbery and obstruction.

As she was being led from police headquarters early Thursday morning, Brady apologized and appeared to implicate her husband in the murders.

“I’m sorry he did all of this,” she said.

Taccetta said he refuses to accept her apology.

“And this guy and his wife, that I had to hear that she was sorry,” said Taccetta. “Sorry doesn’t cut nothing, and I will be there every step of the way to make sure this guy rots in jail for the rest of his life.”

Later Thursday morning, members of the Taccetta family, including Daniel Taccetta, held pictures of Jaime in court for Laffer’s arraignment in Central Islip. It was the first look they got of the suspect.

Laffer pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and was ordered held without bail.

After the arraignment, Taccetta shouted at Laffer, saying “You’re a coward for what you did to those families.”

Brady is being arraigned separately.

Friends and family of Jamie Taccetta, a mother of two from Farmingville, said they will be attending her wake Thursday.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday.

Ah Nathan, there you go again with your antisemitic accusations. Maybe the guy’s name is Goldensteinberg. Just because both his first and last name are very Jewish sounding, doesn’t mean this man is an antisemitic. He is possibly a right minded Jew, something about which you know nothing. I have a coworker and dear friend named Hadassah Ben Guildenstern-Horowitz. Is she some how antisemitic?

I think nathan is offensive to the Jews. It is so Jewy as to be stereotypical. Are you implying that all Jews own hot dog franchises in Brooklyn?

No hell but they’ll do jail time.

  6. Bruce Goldensteinberg says:

The media is already setting out the narrative. This psycho David Leffer killed those 4 people because he didn’t have health insurance. We are supposed to feel so bad for him now. And then watch them redirect, by saying, “If we only had Obamacare already implemented, this wouldn’t have happened. More government medicine!” They are using this tragedy to pimp obamacare. don’t fall for it!

    1. nathan says:

Start by using a REAL surname Mr “Goldentsteinberg.” A pathetic attempt to direct hate towards Jewish people.

No, stupid, if only we had gun control!
