"It sucks," says Selena Rodriguez of Paterson.

She waited over two hours to get her driver's license renewed at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission office in Wayne.

"Now, I'm two and a half hours late to work and that's two and a half hours no pay," she says.

Folk stood in a line wrapped around the front of the building, but cars were backed up on to Route 46.

"It's ridiculous," says Carissa, from Wayne.

She was waiting 30 to 45 minutes in her car before even getting past the gate.

She and others who live in the area say lines are usually long at the end of the month, just not always this bad.

There are new hours at the NJ MVC starting on July 2. They are Monday 8:00 - 5:30, Tuesday 8:00 - 7:30, Wednesday to Friday 8:00 - 5:30, and Saturday 8:00 - 1:00.
