The coroner determined the body retrieved from the creak is that of a young black woman who had possibly been in the water for more than two weeks. The woman’s identity has not yet been determined.

Police, hundreds of volunteers and her parents, Robert and Charlene Spierer, have been searching for Spierer since she vanished while walking alone to her apartment around 4:30 a.m. on June 3 after a night out with friends.
