L.I. Couple, Who Share July 19 Birthday, Welcome Baby Boy Born On Same Date

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The birth of a baby boy on Long Island completed a special "trifecta" of sorts for his mother and father.

Parents Jacquie and Paul Parker of Massapequa share the same birthday -- July 19.

They got a precious gift Tuesday -- also July 19- -- when they welcomed their son, Mason Parker, at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

The baby was 8 pounds, 4 ounces.

Paul Parker said the couple received hundreds of messages cheering them on and reminding them that they were running out of time as midnight drew near.

"As we got closer to midnight, we kind of gave up hope some for what we called the birthday trifecta. Finally at 11:30 p.m. last night, he came through and we did it," he told 1010 WINS.

Paul Parker said he and his wife had dinner plans, but baby Mason had other plans.

"I think this is a pretty good trade-off," Paul Parker said of missing out on the dinner date.
