Report: Lauren Spierer Appeared Incapacitated On Night She Went Missing

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Lauren Spierer, the college student from Westchester who is missing in Indiana, was apparently so incapacitated the night she disappeared, she was barely able to stand.

According to a new report, video evidence shows Spierer stumbling out of an elevator, falling against a wall and being helped to her feet by a friend.

Spierer was last seen on June 3 in Bloomington, Indiana where she goes to school at Indiana University and police suspect foul play.

Meanwhile, her mother says she can't understand the lack of compassion from the people who know what happened to her daughter but haven't come forward.

Charlene Spierer posted a letter Friday on a blog dedicated to the search. She writes that she's learned there is "an evil, a cruel, heartless element'' that cares more about themselves than her daughter's life.

She says she will continue searching until Lauren is found and can be taken back home to Greenburgh.
