Morris County Tops Quality Of Life List In New Jersey Survey

MORRISTOWN, NJ (WCBS 880) - The results are in from a new survey on the quality of life in the counties of New Jersey.

The sounds of a peaceful fountain echo through a park, nestled right in the middle of bustling Morristown.

It's one of Maureen Millar's favorite places to spend her lunchtime and one of the reasons she says she's not surprised Morris County ranked at the top in a Monmouth University poll when it comes to quality of life.

"You're close to the mountains and you're not far from the beach and there's lakes and there's just a lot of things to do in Morris County," she said.

Elizabeth has worked in the county for eight years and said, "You get that small town feel, but you still have New York City at your fingertips. That's what I think... I mean it's a 45-minute train ride into the city."

Cumberland County is at the bottom of the list.
