Police Say Queens Robbery Suspect Verbally Assaulted Victims Before Stealing Cell Phones

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for help to find a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery pattern in Queens.

Authorities said a man approached victims on separate occasions, verbally abused them and grabbed their cell phones before fleeing on foot.

In the first incident, on Aug. 2 at around 7:25 a.m., police said the suspect robbed a 35-year-old woman at the 88th Street Station. The second alleged incident took place at the Rockaway Blvd. Station a few hours later. A 36-year-old woman was the victim.

The suspect is described as a black male between 30 and 40 years old, approximately 6-foot with a slim build. He was last wearing a white T-shirt, khaki shorts and reading glasses.
