Giants' James Brewer Carted Off Field With Lower Leg Injury

NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) -- The injuries just keep coming for the Giants' draft picks.

Just two days after first-rounder Prince Amukamara went down with a broken foot, Giants fourth-round draft pick James Brewer had to leave practice Monday night with an injury to his lower right leg.

The offensive tackle from Indiana was taken off the field in a cart with his right foot elevated. There was no immediate word on the extent of his injury.

Two-time Pro Bowl defensive end Osi Umenyiora was back on the field riding a stationary bike. He has not practiced since reporting more than a week ago because of a contract dispute.

Missing practice were defensive tackle Marvin Austin (hip flexor strain), receiver Devin Thomas (finger), offensive lineman Jim Cordle (knee), linebacker Spencer Paysinger (groin), safety Brian Jackson (back), cornerback Joe Burnett (hamstring) and wide receiver Sam Giguere (groin). Receiver Domenik Hixon sat out to rest his surgically repaired knee.

Can training camp possibly get worse for the Giants? Sound off below...
