"Ashley started playing, I believe she was in second grade, and she just loved the game, and ever since she started playing she was great," said Susan. "She has a passion for it."

Ashley was great enough to pitch a perfect game for the Levittown Slammers in the under Babe Ruth 16-Under Softball World Series.

She even hit a home run to help lead the team to victory against the Osawatomie Rockets from Kansas and advance in the series.

The game was played in Colorado.

"She blocks everything out. That's what she says to me. She blocks everything out when she gets up there and she just gets in the zone," Susan told WCBS 880 Long Island Bureau Chief Mike Xirinachs.

The people in Levittown are excited.

"I hope they go all the way," one man said. "That would be even better."
