NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch. But Monday — for 120,000 New Yorkers— there will be free dinners.
Italian food company Barilla will be boarding a food truck and handing out 20,000 “Meal for Meal” dinner kits in four highly-populated New York City locations, starting Monday Aug. 15. For each dinner distributed, the food company will donate $1 to Food Bank For NYC. Once all the dinner kits are dispersed, there will have been 100,000 meals donated to the Food Bank – or 5 meals for each dollar donated.Police Searching For Missing Brooklyn Teen Veronica Wilson
The Pasta Truck’s first stop will be at Union Square, where it will be situated on Aug. 15 from 4 – 8 p.m.
