B&C Morning Show: A.J. Burnett Ends Slide, Jets Begin Anew

It was an eventful night in the New York sports landscape.

A.J. Burnett halted his winless streak (dating back to June 29) for the Yankees, the Jets opened up their preseason with a loss to the Houston Texans and the Mets -- who at this point are just taking up air and space -- saw Jason Isringhausen notch his 300th career save in their 5-4 win in San Diego.

Boomer & Craig opened-up today's edition of the Morning Extravaganza talking about all of it, as the Burnett saga drones on and after last night's performance one would have to think his spot in the rotation is still secure.  That news can't please the majority of Yankees fans (Craig included) and the Dynamic Radio Duo discussed just that before moving on to Mark Sanchez's 'lazy nipples', which were on display in yesterday's New York Post and the Jets - who lost to the Texans 20-16.

Although not a regular practice in the Morning Show, the guys made an exception this morning and wished the breathtaking Halle Berry a happy birthday (her b-day was August 14th but let's not get bogged down with details).  Miss Berry turned 45 and is single, so putting her beauty aside it's a bit troubling that she has not been able to maintain a long term relationship???

Speaking of being single and unable to develop a sustainable relationship with a member of the opposite sex - at the ripe old age of 41 - Al 'Hughes' Dukes is trying out a new look by donning a wrist-watch with the hopes of luring a soul mate...
