Landscaper Dies After Being Sucked Into Storm Drain In Lawrence Township
LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS 2) -- There has been another Irene-related death in New Jersey.
Cesar Ortiz, 47, was sucked into a storm drain in Lawrence Township on Tuesday.
Ortiz was a landscaper who was helping workers clean up around the Delaware and Raritan Canal.
Police say he apparently picked up a manhole cover and the pressure from Irene's waters sucked him into the pipe.
His body was found two miles away in a sewage plant.
