Novak Djokovic Wears FDNY Cap Onto US Open Court

NEW YORK (AP) - Novak Djokovic walked into Arthur Ashe Stadium for the U.S. Open final Monday wearing a cap adorned with the New York City fire department logo.

Shortly before taking the court for his match against Rafael Nadal, Djokovic switched over to his traditional white cap.

The men's final was originally scheduled for Sunday - the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks - but was moved to Monday after two days of rain washed out play at Flushing Meadows last week.

The date "9/11/01" remained stenciled in white on the side of the show court, as it had been through the weekend.
