B&C Morning Show: Yankees' Charmed Life, Mets Eliminated And Boomer's Corking Party

The Mets were shut out last night 2-0 by the Washington Nationals. The loss officially eliminated the 'Not So Amazins' from the playoffs.

For those of you keeping track at home, this marks the 5th straight season the Mets have failed to qualify for postseason play.

Craig found it fitting that the Mets couldn't manage a single run against Nats starter Brad Peacock, who pitched 5 innings and earned his 1st MLB win last night.  The loss tied New York with Washington for 3rd in the NL East, 25.5 games behind the 1st place Philadelphia Phillies (holla that!!!).

To help ease the pain of Mets fans a bit, Boomer & Craig - along with "66 Babes" - will take in today's Nats-Mets game (1:10pm start) and you are invited to join them.  Click here for tickets.

As for Boomer, his energy was a little down and Craig noticed, describing his best friend's mood as melancholy.  Worried about the Booms' well-being, Craig asked him about his lack of energy, only to learn that Boomer did not get a nap in and then spent the night corking with Phil Simms.

Boomer, Simms and a few others are involved in a wine making venture and they bottled some of booze late into the night...
