NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – When Stephen Siller heard about the fires in the World Trade Center more than 10 years ago, he drove to his Brooklyn fire house, grabbed his gear and rant through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to help.

He never returned.

Since then, ever year, firefighters from all over come to the city to honor Siller in the Tunnel To Towers Run.

His brother, Russell, stopped by CBS 2 to speak about his brother and the race that’s become an institution in the City.
