Mere blocks from Manhattan Mall exists a multi-level food court focusing on Asian treats. The emphasis is on Korean cuisine, though English speakers should feel no need for a translator to navigate the stalls. Boon Sik Zip offers kim bap, a Korean take on sushi rolls, while Bian Dang offers the ever-lovely Taiwanese fried pork chop over rice with pork sauce. There's also Korea House, offering a $9.99 kalbi meal (pictured) that should surely sate even the biggest eaters... the variety offered here goes on and on, so take your time exploring the entire place!

A short walk from the 7 train lies a place where fresh tortillas are made starting at 4am each day. Indulging yourself won't be hard on your wallet here at Tortilleria Nixtamal either - a plate of three tacos will run you about $7. The fresh tortillas are enough to make the tacos great, but the fish taco - made to order - is incredibly light and flavorful at the same time. Wash it all down with a tall horchata, a refreshing rice milk drink.

Bosie Tea sits on a quiet street in the West Village, just around the corner from the hustle and bustle of 6th Avenue. Walk inside for a bit of sanctuary and order afternoon tea for one; choose from the extensive selection of L'Âge de Thé teas, then choose two scones, three sandwiches, two tea cakes and two macarons. Each sandwich is made to order; sip your tea while you wait, and soak in your surroundings. A moment of bliss for lunch before you kick off the weekend; why not?
