Another Suspect Wanted For Attempted Rape In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a suspect who is wanted for an attempted rape in Brooklyn.

The attack happened on Sunday, Sept. 25 around 1:30 a.m. at Bushwick and Johnson avenues. Police say the suspect grabbed a 25-year-old woman, threw her to the ground and tried to rape her.

The suspect also punched the woman in the head several times, police said, but the woman screamed and fought her attacker until witnesses ran over and chased him off.

The woman suffered swelling and bruising and was taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.

Police say the suspect is Hispanic, between 20 and 30-years-old, about five feet, six inches tall weighing around 150 pounds and may have a mole on his face.

He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with light cargo pants and white shoes.

Meanwhile, police are still looking for a suspect or suspects wanted in a string of sexual attacks on women in Park Slope.

Friday, investigators released a photo of a jacket they said was similar to what one the suspects may have been wearing.

Police have also increased patrols in Park Slope last week after another woman was sexually assaulted. It was the 11th incident linked to a sexual assault spree prompting a growing sense of fear and frustration.

Surveillance video captured the first attack on March 20th, which took place on 16th Street in Park Slope. The 24-year-old victim was grabbed from behind, but managed to escape.
