Poll: Obama's Approval Rating Dropping In NJ

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- A new poll shows New Jersey voters are less happy with President Obama's performance in office.

The Monmouth University/NJ Press Media poll out Sunday finds Obama's approval rating is now 47 percent among registered voters. That's down five percentage points from the last Monmouth poll conducted in August.

The poll also found 47 percent of registered voters don't think Obama should be re-elected, while 46 percent say he deserves another term in office. And nearly half of the respondents believe Obama's policies have ignored the needs of middle class families while benefiting Wall Street.

The telephone poll of 817 adults was conducted Oct. 5-9 and has a sampling error margin of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points. Those polled were asked if they were registered voters.
