Gotham Gossipist: Batman Occupies Wall Street? Movie Director Will Not Put Off Filming 'Dark Knight' Sequel

By Kimberly Rae Miller

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The protesters of Occupy Wall Street have inspired movements across the globe with their hope to incite change and spread their message against corporate greed.

More importantly, if they can hold on for ten more days, they could be in the new Batman movie!

According to The Los Angeles Times, Christopher Nolan has reached out to the cast of The Dark Knight Rises and told them to be ready to shoot amid the protest.

The film has already shot in India and Pittsburgh, and is slated to start its New York shooting schedule on October 29th.

Nolan is known for trying to fool the media and anxious fans by spreading wholly inaccurate rumors about his own films. Even so, it would be pretty cool to mark this moment in Gotham history in a shoot for the fictional Gotham City.

In an ironic twist, Bruce Wayne is most definitely part of that "1 percent" the Occupy Wall Street folks are peeved with.

You can't win 'em all, Batman.
