Alleged Subway Groper Arrested After Victim Snaps His Photo

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police said an alleged subway groper has been arrested after a college student snapped his photo following the attack on a Manhattan subway platform last month.

Police said 39-year-old Andrade Foylan, of Queens, has been arrested and charged with sex abuse.

Shyane DeJesus told police she was standing on the platform of the downtown 6 train at Union Square at around 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 23, when the man grabbed her by the shoulder, lifted up her dress and touched her private area.

"He just went for it. He grabbed my left shoulder, pushed my head forward, lifted my dress, groped me and from there I went crazy. I punched him in the face," DeJesus told CBS 2's John Slattery last week.

Instead of running away DeJesus followed her alleged attacker onto the train and took his picture.

"I wasn't sure if I got a good picture. My hand was shaking, and I gave him one last hit in the face.  And I got off the rain and called police," DeJesus said.

CBS 2 reports a tip led police to Foylan.
