Police: EMT Under Arrest After Sexually Abusing Patient

SHIRLEY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Suffolk County Police arrested an Emergency Medical Technician Thursday.

Kristopher Kahl, 22, is accused of sexually abusing a female victim while she was being transported to a local hospital. He faces a charge of Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree.

Police say Kahl made inappropriate sexual contact with the patient's intimate parts around 11:40 a.m. on November 4. They arrested the Middle Island resident after an investigation.

Kahl was processed at the Seventh Precinct and was released on stationhouse bail. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a future date.
