NJ Police Probe Death Of 21-Year-Old On FDU Campus

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Authorities in New Jersey are investigating the death of a 21-year-old man on the campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office and police in Florham Park say the man was not a student at FDU. They say he was found unresponsive in a dorm room on the campus at about 3 p.m. Wednesday after police responded to an emergency call.

The victim was pronounced dead at Morristown Memorial Hospital. His identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The prosecutor's office says the victim arrived at the campus Tuesday night to visit an FDU student and stayed overnight in the dorm room.

Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi said he doesn't believe the death was the result of foul play.
