B&C Morning Show: Antonio Pierce Stops By

Antonio Pierce joined Boomer & Bill Cowher in the Allstate Studio just after 9 a.m. and kept the Football Friday vibe going.

Boomer asked Pierce about his comments earlier in the year when he called out a few Giants players for milking their injuries, specifically his buddy and former teammate Justin Tuck.  Pierce stood by his comments and assured us that he is still welcome at the Giants facility.

Moving on to the play on the field for the Giants, as Pierce was very impressed by Brandon Jacobs' performance Sunday against the Cowboys, where the 6'4"264 lb. running back ran hard and accumulated 101 yards on 19 carries and found the end zone twice.

Keeping on the offensive side of the ball, Pierce had nothing but praise for Eli Manning and what he has been able to accomplish thus far this season.

As for the defensive side of the ball, Pierce has his concerns moving forward and as a whole, Pierce is a big fan of Tom Coughlin, but doesn't believe the current Giants roster has enough 'Tom Coughlin kind of guys' on it.  Going on to say that when players talk, they should sound like their head coach, which is not the case for the majority of the Giants.

As the interview went on, Boomer & Bill talked with Pierce about the James Harrison suspension, the Tim Tebow experiment in Denver and while discussing the Green Bay Packers and their magical season, Coach Cowher called them the 'best team ever' - of course assuming they win out and capture their second straight Super Bowl.  Pretty high praise from the Super Bowl winning coach to say the least...
