Police: Man Attacks, Robs Woman In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is asking for the public's help in finding a robbery suspect in Brooklyn.

Police say a man followed his victim, a 28-year-old white woman, into her apartment building in Fort Greene, threw her to the floor, beat her, and took her pocketbook before fleeing the scene.

Police say the incident happened on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at 3 a.m.

The suspect is described as a Black man in his 30's, standing at 5'10" and wearing a brown coat, black pants, and a white scarf  that was partially covering his face.
