New York U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara says they go straight to the ATM.

The latest to be arrested, charged with using electronic skimmers and hidden cameras to steal from customers accounts, is a Romanian named Laurentiu Bulat.

He is charged with stealing $1.5 million from customers at 40 HSBC bank branches around New York City.

Those branches were located in Manhattan, Westchester, and Long Island.

Bulat was finally caught through a bank surveillance video that showed him using a screwdriver to install the devices used to steal customers PINs and bank card information.
