WYCKOFF, NJ (CBSNewYork) -- Wyckoff police say that a drunk Ridgewood man entered two homes early Wednesday morning. Police responded to a call at a Lehigh Street home where residents reported that a man had been inside of the house but fled.

Alejandro Montalvo, 27, of Ridgewood entered the house  and went upstairs to the bedroom of a 15-year-old boy who woke up as Montalvo entered, he then went downstairs and entered the room of a woman who began screaming causing him to run from the house, according to the homeowner.

Police began a search of the area and found Montalvo three houses away, asleep on an enclosed porch. A window on the porch had been broken.

Police allege that Montalvo was intoxicated and looking for a place to sleep, in his stupor he broke in to two homes. According to investigators Montalvo had been out drinking with friends who dropped him off in Wyckoff where the mini-crime spree began.

Judge Russel B. Teschon set bail at $40,000, Montalvo was committed to the Bergen County jail in default of bail.
