Worker Arrested After Noose Found At Bronx Parks Department Garage
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A city parks worker is under arrested after allegedly hanging a doll by a noose in the department's Bronx headquarters.
Fariz Ahmemulic, 28, was arrested Wednesday and has been charged with aggravated harassment as a hate crime.
The doll was found last month near the desk of an African-American employee.
The Parks Department said in statement, "We are gratified that an arrest has been made in this case, but regret that the suspect is a fellow employee."
Ahmemulic has been suspended without pay.
