Unfortunately after four seasons of on-air living, Bravo wasn’t happy with the show’s ratings and axed both McCord and van Kempen, opting instead for more Manhattanites.
The duo are now shopping for a reality show to keep them from ever having to leave the borough of Brooklyn.

“While we were sad to lose the dollars . . . we weren’t sad to be off that particular show,” the e-mail reads. “Now that we are free-and-clear of our Bravo contracts, we have been meeting with . . . just about every cable network as well as a couple of the main networks.”
The plan: Alex, Simon, and their Brooklyn buds will star in a show tentatively titled “Based in Brooklyn.” The show would follow 30-something parents in “Brownstone Brooklyn” as they went about their daily lives.
Don’t expect any pre-plotted drama. The two indicate that ‘Based in Brooklyn’ would be nothing like the Bravo show that paid for their brownstone.

A drama-free parenting show. Basically, it will be about the Park Slope Food Coop and finding street parking. Sounds fascinating.
