Report: Firefighters Uncover Cache Of Child Porn While Battling Blaze In New Jersey

EAGLESWOOD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - The bright red home on Dock Road, a highly recognizable area landmark, went up in flames on Tuesday.

Firefighters and police rushed to the house, which is owned by Gamal El-Zoghby.

To battle the blaze, firefighters started to tear open the sheetrock walls. As they did, State Police spokesman Brian Polite says images of child pornography started to fall all around them. Polite told the Press of Atlantic City it appears the pornography was hidden in the ceiling.

El-Zoghby, 76, has been a professor of architecture at the Pratt Institute since 1969. He's been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

The blaze took 12 hours to put out. No word on the cause of the blaze.
