Giants' Victor Cruz Joins Fans For A Salsa Lesson At Modell's

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York Giants are headed to the Super Bowl, where fans hope to see plenty of Victor Cruz's Salsa-dancing touchdown celebrations.

On Tuesday, a group of lucky fans gathered at the Modell's on 42nd Street, where they were ready to show the team's star wide receiver a few moves when he arrived. Cruz joined fans like Hayley on the dance floor.

"He really has rhythm, it's real. I thought it was TV magic, but it's not," she told 1010 WINS' Sonia Rincon.

Cruz offered up a Salsa dancing lesson or two and even did a little dancing alongside CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez.  Cruz, however, was just as impressed with the fans that joined him.

"Just to see the people that...how many people loved it and how many people love what I do and respect my game is just amazing," he said.

Cruz said he enjoyed getting a chance to spend some time with Giants fans and "really feel the love."

"It's just an amazing time for us and we're ready for the Super Bowl," he said of his Giants teammates.

Omar from New Jersey also picked up some steps and a Cruz t-shirt and got to wish him good luck.

"He's just been amazing for everybody," he said.

"He's just such a good wide receiver and the fact that he Salsas makes it even better," "Mary" from Piscataway said.

"It's amazing man, especially coming from a small city -- Paterson, New Jersey -- having all those people just being behind you and supporting your career and understanding where you come from," Cruz said.
