Patsy's Restaurant Cooks Up 'Blue Food' Menu To Support Giants In Super Bowl

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- One Italian restaurant in Midtown is doing its part to bring the New York Giants some good luck.

Sal Scognamillo, owner and chef of Patsy's Italian Restaurant on West 56th Street, says he is cooking up a blue food menu as he roots on the Giants in Sunday's Super Bowl.

"I said 'What kind of foods can we do here that would symbolize a Giants win' and so we have to do something with the blue food and this is what we came up with," Scognamillo told 1010 WINS.

So what's on the menu?

Scognamillo says the items will include blue potato pie with blue cheese along with mozzarella, ricotta and Parmesan cheeses in addition to bluefish with blue point oysters and blueberry ricotta cheesecake.

"You gotta have some kind of a blue ingredient, but that's a tough color to make food with -- the most natural thing would be the blueberries. So we took our regular ricotta cheesecake and we added some nice, fresh blueberries to it," he said.

Scognamillo described the blue menu as an Italian feast to celebrate that the Giants are going to win it all.

"I'm hoping it's just enough good luck to propel the Giants to a win," he said.
