As soon as the gates opened the crowd poured into MetLife Stadium to get a glimpse of their Super Bowl heroes.

An estimated 35,000 to 40,000 fans gathered at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford for a Super Bowl party honoring the Giants hours after the team celebrated their victory at a ticker-tape parade in NYC's Canyon of Heroes.

The atmosphere at the stadium in East Rutherford was reminiscent of a football Sunday as many tailgaters filled all corners of the parking lot. Many fans who attended the parade in NYC also made their way to New Jersey to welcome the Giants.

Hip-hop group "Naughty By Nature" was also on hand to perform a remix of "O.P.P.," asking fans if they were "Down with N-Y-G."

"A packed house" greeted the team in the Garden State and fans roared in "thunderous applause" for DE Justin Tuck as he hoisted the Lombardi trophy, 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck reported.

"It was just another team effort," Tuck told WFAN's Mike Francesa on Monday. "We were so focused."

Gov. Chris Christie was on hand to congratulate the team for Sunday's 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots.

Christie kept his promise and reserved seats for a 10-year-old from Bridgewater and his family.

"If the Giants win the Super Bowl, is the parade going to be in New Jersey,"  10-year-old Adam Bernstein asked Christie at a recent town hall meeting.

"Adam let me tell you something, the Giants are going to win and when they beat the Patriots and they come home, you know where they're coming home to -- New Jersey," Christie responded. "Their training is in New Jersey, their stadium is in New Jersey. The only thing NY about the Giants is the helmets. So I'm going to tell Mr. Mara and Mr. Tisch that if they really want to be loyal to where their real fans are, the rally to celebrate the Giants Super Bowl victory will be at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey and I'll be there to host them."

Christie then offered the boy to be his guest at the Meadowlands celebration.

The MetLife celebration ended with the playing of Queen's "We Are The Champions."
