PARSIPPANY, N.J. (AP) — Aggravated assault charges have been filed against a northern New Jersey man who allegedly stabbed a woman and her adult daughter during a dispute that also left him wounded.

Morris County authorities say 37-year-old Brian Davis also faces weapons charges that stem from Monday’s dispute at his Parsippany home.

Authorities say the victims knew Davis and went to his home because they were concerned about him. The found him injured and holding a knife, which they tried to get away from him.

After being stabbed, the women left the home and called police. Davis then briefly struggled with the responding officers before they got the knife away from him.

The mother underwent surgery for her injuries, while her daughter and Davis were treated at a hospital
