Well, after months of working on the story, we can report some of the couples are finally happy.

WCBS 880 reporter Sophia Hall was able to sit in on parts of the closed doors hearings at the Suffolk County consumer affairs office, as couples who have been waiting years finally will get their photos or videos from when they said their "I do."

Photographer Gary Leli, who worked out of St. James, agreed to give the couples what they wanted. Some wanted refunds, others their photos and raw videos of their wedding days.

One of those brides is Danielle Rella, who has been waiting since 2007.

"He is very hostile, and initially, when he's taking your money, he's the nicest he can be," she said.

Pregnant with the couple's second child, Amy Kenner and her husband Doug said they have been waiting nearly three years for their video.

"Let's just hope this video actually comes prior to baby number two arriving," she said.

Leli told Hall that he is committed to giving the couples what they agreed to.

The items have to be given to the couples within the next few months.

If he does not do that, the consumer affairs commissioner said the district attorney could press criminal charges against him.
