Wire Problem Causes Delays For NJ TRANSIT Trains Into NYC During Morning Commute
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- NJ TRANSIT trains are back to normal into and out of New York City after a wire problem caused major delays earlier in the morning.
NJ TRANSIT spokesman John Durso Jr. says a train carrying about 500 passengers became stuck in the tunnel heading into New York at about 5:40 a.m. when an overhead wire malfunctioned.

Trains were facing up to 60 minute delays for a time during the morning rush in and out of New York Penn Station and all Midtown Direct trains were being diverted into Hoboken.
Amtrak says all service between New York Penn and Newark has been restored after being disrupted earlier.
